'Accountability Now' Awareness Campaign

Project Brief:
This project was part of the second year of my BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at Plymouth College of Art. We were asked to create a conceptual awareness campaign for an issue of our choice.

My campaign was based on recent developments from The Guardian in relation to GCHQ (UK version of the NSA) surveillance and personal data-mining operations.

I felt it was important to reflect the relevance and urgency of this issue to people who felt that the the issue didn't affect them as 'they had nothing to hide'.

Accountability Now would aim to spread awareness of how peoples data is being collected online and bring attention to the increasing erosion of civil liberties through an accessible and easy to understand campaign.
Some simple initial sketches to generate ideas for imagery. (Further development available on my blog)
Logo. Mark based on a simplified icon for a computer chip.
A3 Poster Design.

The glitch typography utilised throughout the project was manipulated individually by me for each application, causing each letter to be individual from one another.

These materials were then to be sold in action kits, which would be purchasable from the website.
