Photos were taken at the Botanical Garden in Montreal with a macro lens that one of my friends lend me. It gave me the opportunity to take very close shots. I was able to make abstract photos out of flowers since i like to make abstract drawings and art. I enjoy the smoothness of one part to another with it's colours and it's detailed and not detailed parts of the image. With macro shots, what i like is the fact the flowers look more like shapes, forms, lines and colours rather than the flower only. I'm also inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's floral paintings. I love the sensuality of the lines, the softness and the colours that she chooses, the way she shadows the colours.
