The Growing Persistence of Emptiness
- all’s held and nothing’s contained
An exploration of the relationship between idea and material form. using a piece of memory to derive key ideas and concepts from which construct a 3 dimensional object in the attempt to express abstractions of these ideas.

A vivid memory of a strange empty field. A sense of attachment and familiarity.
It is an absence felt at certain stages in life. Such sense of emptiness is permanent and very hard to get rid of. Over time, the persistence of the emptiness grows and expands, and eventually, dominants. It always seems, all that emptiness is held within us; yet it transcends like a growing void that is seemingly held but not contained: supported, suspended and sustained by clusters of thin markings of permanence. The shape of this growing emptiness, though defined, is never restrained - the void wraps around each individual wire that marks a boundary, then spreads out of the existing structure penetrates into the open and finally flows out to the other spaces

- hence: The growing persistence of emptiness- all’s held and nothing’s contained.
