Abstract Art - the Sounds of Emotions

Brief: Interpret 8 abstract, intangible emotions - hate, anger, revulsion, apathy, prejudice, love, compassion, and friendship - as any piece of visual communication.
During my research for this project, I took at least a hundred of these beautiful out-of-focus images. The blurry images created wonderful fields of color, which I wanted to use as the primary vehicle for visualizing 8 intangible emotions.
This led me to designing CD packaging for an imaginary group named Abstract Art. The songs on the CDs (if they were actually to be produced) are audible interpretations of emotions, while the packaging is visual. The songs were divided into "good" and "bad" emotions - or as I named the CDs, Good Vibrations and Bad Karma. Instead of a typical CD booklet, I designed about 10 cards featuring my photography to give an image to emotions that we feel every day. The actual packaging for the CDs is a foldable, double-sided poster with an image representing the "good" emotions on one side, and the "bad" ones on the other.
