Hola. I'm Brenda, a graphic designer with a passion for education and clean meaningful design. Also, I eat M&Ms in order of their color.
I am Puerto Rican-Cuban, born in the United States, raised in Mexico City, Mexico. I finished high school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and completed my degree in Graphic Design at OCAD in Toronto, Ontario, in 2010. I have since re-relocated to Pittsburgh, where I completing my MAT in Art Education at Chatham University and am teaching art for the Pittsburgh Public School District while I freelance and continue to explore art and design.
I usually approach a project by defining the needs of the client or situation, researching the background and culture of the subject thoroughly, and establishing a 'visual culture' to work in. I then get as creative and expressive as possible within that visual culture, until I find the most appropriate solution.
I have strong creative research and concept development skills, and would love to put them to use to help you with any of your logo, branding and identity design, stationary design, publication design, and copywriting needs.
I also just love to create personally beautiful things, and can work on commission to make beautiful posters, hand bound books, and personalized greeting cards.
