The Magdalena Abakanowicz exhibition at the National Museum in Krakow was an overview of her work from the 1960s to the beginning of this century, covering selected works from her enormous output. At one and the same time, the show made it possible to look at this distinguished artist's work from today's perspective.

Catalog, created for the exhibition – a kind of renewal – included not only a presentation of works shown at the National Museum, but also different ways of seeing her rich ouvre.

The characteristic feature of Abakanowicz's art is the texture of her sculptures. We decided to reflect this appearance in our book. We went for brown cloth for the cover, ivory paper for the inside and thick grayish rough box to achieve the feel and the color.
