The Aarhus Festival needed a new logo as the present logo from 2005 was outdated. In addition, the original logo was devised on the basis of the central element of the Danish letter 'Å' - this being the first letter in 'Århus'. But as from 2011, the Aarhus Festival exchanged the 'Å' for an 'Aa' in consequence of the now officially adopted Danish spelling of 'Aarhus'.
