A Voyage Through Eternity
Swatchbook Design
The Swatch book was a project with the purpose of teaching the different types of paper and the weight of said paper. During this process I used handmade paper created from Elephant dung, papyrus, cotton, banana bark and wheat paper. The theme conveyed consisted of a take of Egypt. Inside of the Swatch book the view can imagine the inside of a pyramid as they ‘walk’ through the book. The usage of Neenah (thunder storm) paper gives an old world feel to incorporate into the theme. The paper is textured and one end a part is even perforated to allow the receiver to tear off the end, fill in their information, and send it back. Foiling on the card is used to portray the royal status of the kingdom.
