In Year 1 of Visual Communication; History of Graphic Design, we were tasked by our lecturer to create two spreads, inclusive of a cover page and back page. From a list of influential designers, we were to pick one to emulate in our work. I chose Bradbury Thompson, known for the great contrast of monochrome colors, and a burst of primary colors in his works. He used simple layering, duplication and opacity to his favour, creating designs that were especially interesting. Keeping these distinct traits in mind, I aimed to create a piece that is truly, and unmistakably Bradbury Thompson.
