A Family Grows in Brooklyn - Save the Date

Jenny and Eric's families are deeply rooted in Brooklyn and wanted a save the date that revolves around that aspect. A tri-fold accordion was necessary to accommodate the amount of information that needed to be conveyed. Most of the save the date is captured in a detailed map of Brooklyn. Each icon pinpoints a cherished family moment, whether it was a marriage, birth or old apartment. A Family Grows in Brooklyn, quickly became the title for the coordinating map key that gives information about each location. The wedding is at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden which happens to be in the middle of the map, creating a great focal point for the weeping willow tree icon. To complete the piece, the back of the accordion was letterpressed with a simple floral pattern. A fitting end to a wedding taking place in a garden.

This is my most illustrated piece and and one of my favorites, I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.
I designed this save the date while working at Mr. Boddington's Studio.
