    -Client: A Craft Initiative

Designer: Melvin Tan Web Engineer: Edmund Wee
  • The website was conceptualized to reflect and represent the space of a craft studio. (View of the studio)
  • The site is made up of four sections. The centre is the main part as shown. The other parts are the part below, left and right of the frame.
  • When framed, the website will be designed to bring the viewer to a separate part of the room for each section.
  • When one clicks an icon hotspot, the frames moves across the room to another part of the space. It is like moving the frame to the right, as shown above.
  • This movement is just like being shown around the studio itself, which was the purpose of the site. The transition will be fleeting and seamless.
  • It can also move downwards/upwards. It can also move more than one direction if required.
  • The sections can move horizontally from left to right or right to left.  Within the frame, there are hotspots that showcase specific projects of the studio.
  • Within the frame, there are hotspots that showcase specific projects of the studio.
  • When one clicks on the animated icon, one sees a pop up that will provide a short description of the project.
  • The media embedded is also interactive and can be browsed within the pop up.
  • Same for the other parts of the site. Media can be pictures or even videos, as illustrated.
There will be more interesting animations and effects that will surprise. When the site is done, I will re publish the project again with the direct link to it for you to check out the finished product. Till then...
