A Battle for Life: Glucometer App for kids with Type 1 Diabetes, is an app design exclusively for those kids that have to learn how to live differently from others when they are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Kids need encouragement and motivation specially when it comes to being responsible about their health. Their life is so consumed by their conditions, that I wanted to make this app a little bit different than what you would expect a health app to be. I decided to make it a game, that they can play, so this app would be developed along side a gaming company so that they can make a habit to take care of themselves and at the same time have fun doing it. They need to check their sugar and log their meals every day to be able to get gaming lives and powers.

 

This app comes with a parent app that allows them to see how their son or daughter are doing. How many carbs they've consumed on a given day and what their blood sugar readings is.
