Andreas Gursky is a postmodern photographer who is known for his unique depiction of urban landscape and architectural structures. Gursky's works often feature apartments, skyscrapers, sports fields and streets. The use of perspective in his photographs is emphasised to create a sense of elevation giving the illusion that the viewer is looking down at the composition. The wide frame featured in Gursky's works portray a scene where various viewpoints are possible. The incorporation of vibrant and contrasting colours is also a main feature of Gursky's photographs which successfully produces an eye catching and engaging image.
