Anyone can feel big hearted for choosing to adopt instead of buying a pet. But even amongst the pets people choose from when they visit SPCA, it's a default that many just go for the most beautiful and lovely ones.
Many animals that land up in SPCA have been victims of abuse, fights or accidents, leaving them scarred, both on the inside and out. Most would cringe and feel sorry for them, then turn and walk away, not realising that the animals who have been hurt before need love all the more, and desperately so.
This series of postcards lends these animals a voice to ask, "If I am not beautiful, will you still love me?"
