Incorporating her styles into the work, the objective was to create a event to celebrate the works by Paula Scher and her philosophy as a designer.

I chose to create a bar that is set up by Paula Scher as I was inspired by her quote "Great design is serious (not solemn)" and wanted to translate that into the identity of the bar.

The Public is a fictional bar by Paula Scher, it is a place where you can get away from the pressure of work, society, have fun and be who you are. Without the solemness from daily work. It is based on her belief that great design is serious, not solemn.
The Public bus ad
The bus ad show cases the various descriptions of the bar, and the atmosphere it has with 'The Public' being in the center of it all. It is inspired by her album cover, 'The Best of Jazz'.
Wine labels
Wine labels insitus.
The various society stereotypes were the highlights of the T-shirts, each being unique to that stereotype. This idea was rejected as the T-shirts might come along as offensive to the community. Instead all the stereotypes are condensed into one shirt itself with 'Public' being the main focus.
T-shirt final design.

Bar Brochure
The brochure contains visual elements that leads and guides the reader along as he/she reads through. The design follows that of Paula Scher's use of typography and graphics in buildings.
