'The Birthday Present' is the story of 10-year-old Alan, who receives a birthday present that leaves him unsettled. It is a heartwarming journey of a young boy navigating life through his innocent eyes, living with his mother who sometimes fails to understand what he wants and his grandmother who is grappling with ageing. It deals with themes such as adolescence, single parenthood and ageing.
