The original idea behind this project was more ambitious than the outcome, but I think still interesting nonetheless. I handed out questionnaires to the members of my class asking things like: where's the one place they'd like to go before they die, favorite season, favorite color, job aspirations, etc. Essentially I wanted to visually represent how each person would like to "leave a mark" on the world. Although it turned out that I could only focus on the more literal aspects, I presented a juxtaposition of the physical location they would like to visit by placing a knock-out screen of their own fingerprint over it. In this way, they can imagine a piece of their identity placed at one of their favorite places.
