Post Production and Editing

I achieved my title card using a track matte key, this allowed me to mask out the selected video track whilst keeping my title layer visible in the portions that were subtracted from the mask.

I initially tried doing my timelapse using stills however I think that my intervalometer/remote shutter is getting a little old as it seemed to miss frames/fire inconsistently. In the end I decided to instead shoot long portions of video and speed them up. This got me the effect that I wanted.

a small number of the shots in the final video were shot hand held (mostly those in and around the supermarket) I used various techniques to keep the camera steady such as creating several points of contact and using the neck strap to brace the camera, this meant that warp stabilisation was really successful and theres very little distortion

With this shot of the bus driving away the sun came out about halfway through the shot meaning the whole thing was a little over exposed. I fixed this using the colour tab and the lumetri colour editor to adjust exposure

finally I used a long dip to black at the end of the last shot of the moon to give the impression of falling asleep gradually as the moon descends through the frame.
