This is my Gig poster for a band performance on February 9th starring David Little. My task was to create a poster for the bands performance. They perform acoustic/surf music. 

My sketches took me many places and I really sketched a lot and had a ton of diffrent ideas. The sketches you see above are my most recent ones that I mostly used. I was trying to get the deisng for the waves and sound waves and trying to figure out how to do the type and also represent the ocean. 

This is a draft of a concept I was thinking of using, but totally scratched it and started fresh after realizing it wasnt working out the way I wanted it to. I was able to recieve feedback that guided me to the other poster and I was grateful for that. I also used peoples feedback for the text and creating more of an ocean vibe with the fish. 

 I feel that I accomplished the objective because the bands name is Sound Waves so I created a mix of actual sound waves and ocean waves. The bands vibe is more chill and relaxed so it went well with the ocean vibes and blues. I also made sure to add the correct and important information.
