Artists Image Resource
Artists Image Resource, or AIR, is a non-profit printmaking studio laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. The organization provides a plethora of services and programs for the community, youth, and artists in the area. Thus, the organization needed a brand that would reflect the sophistication of the organization and better represent the wide variety of projects. While AIR's primary focus is screen printing, they can adapt their working spaces to support any print project or style needed. By creating these two logos, either used together or separately, AIR's brand has the flexibility and variety to reflect the brand.
The main logo plays with registration, an element of screen printing, and shows two unaligned layers. The subtitle uses the font that is then reflected in the emblem option. The emblem, when combined with the main logo, almost dots the I, but not quite - as it appears much larger and the main logo remains in all capital letters.
