BLACKBOARD JUNGLE
Founded in 1994 in Rouen by Olivier and Nico, the Blackboard Jungle Sound System has become one of the driving forces of the burgeoning French dub scene. Inspired by the likes of Jah Shaka, Jah Tubbys and Aba Shanti I, in 1999, the sound started as with its first crew and has since achieved the impressive feat of being the first French sound system invited to guest in London at the University Of Dub in 2009.
Currently with one of the strongest teams in Europe, with 24 boxes, Blackboard Jungle is the resident sound of Dub Station 2013.
On this special night they will be accompanied by Roberto Sánchez, a musician and producer based in Santander, known as one of the stalwarts of the Spanish roots reggae scene, accompanied by Señor Wilson, Irie Souljah and Benjammin'. The opening session will be conducted by the Spanish Raggatack, with American MC Ranking Forest.
