A commissioned project for one of my talented friends, Laura Barnard. She is an upcoming writer and is soon to be releasing her book 'The Debt & the Doormat'. The illustrations will be used for promoting Laura on social networking websites.
I was more than delighted to collaborate and create a series of illustrations that represent Laura and her upcoming chic-lit novels. Furthermore, the illustrations took inspiration from the book itself, playing on the idea of friends swapping lives by incorporating symmetry into the works. I also played upon the characteristics of the author; representing her fun, bubbly, girly and tongue-in-cheek personality.
