FLYBRIDGE BRANDING & WEBSITE

Flybridge is a venture capital firm that believes that community-driven companies harness the power of a highly engaged, connected and passionate ecosystem of members to drive growth and success. After a series of discussions and brainstorming sessions, we helped Flybridge develop their updated branding, new logo and new website.







THE REBRANDING PROCESS

Flybridge has a successful history and the visual elements of the brand are attached to that success. A primary goal during the brand refresh process was to maintain the most relevant and important elements of the brand identity that are attached to this success, while finding opportunities in areas that we could redesign to help better align the company to the new brand. This brand refresh and the corresponding brand assets that we created more accurately reflect the values, quality and future of Flybridge.


CREATING A UNIQUE IDENTITY

We created a simple wordmark that is strong, modern and scalable across different mediums, both digital and print. The unique identity within the branding lies in the sharp angle cuts within the F and E letters - these two letters nicely bookend the bold, spacious and legible name. The sharp angle, symbolic of a wing, is reused throughout the marketing materials and website. Because of the unique shape, it offers a dynamic element that can be used for various purposes. The shape is used as a layered background texture to create depth, as a button, as bullet points, as section dividers and more. Every time it is used within this system it builds further upon the brand identity in the mind of the viewer.




THE COMMUNITY GRID

The Flybridge community is a driving organizational and experiential element of the website. To display how Flybridge is collection of all people and companies that it interfaces with, we designed a grid to represent this network and the relationships within it. The grid has some advanced sorting and CMS components that allow for the advanced organization of people, companies and relationships. The easiest way to understand how this grid system works is to explore the site yourself and see how the elements update as you change the drop down selections.




ARTICLE COVER ILLUSTRATIONS

We created some unique graphic cover illustrations for a series of articles written by a Flybridge founder, Chip Hazard. These article covers were designed prior to the branding and website design, but offered an early chance to explore some updated graphic styles and color themes. These designs helped define the direction we wanted to take the new brand.
