This project is a redesign of an existing website using UX principles. Here I'll focus more on UI than UX, if you want a more detailed read please visit the case study on my website: https://raphael.vercruyssen.com/ux-case-study-neige/
The Idea
I'm trying to redesign the existing platform so it's easier to use. Users generally have 2 goals on the site.
- Booking a lesson
- Renting equipment
Ideation
Sketching out onto paper really helps getting all your ideas out into a more permanent form
Wireframes
Check out these sick wireframes! (said no one ever)
With these wireframes I had a general sense of direction and could test the flow of the website, make sure no one got lost, or wasn't missing functionality.
Colors
I started with an existing logo and color, so then I used the Adobe Color Wheel to match some reds into it.
Typography
Typography can be a tough one. I had the existing logo that uses futura, so I looked around on the web for some nice font pairings. Eventually I found Montserrat which is a free to use Google font and matched really nicely with the logo.
