Photography + Illustration + Instagram Magic
"illustagram"s are characters/ illustrations drawn into photographs
to give the impression of the imaginary character actually being on location.
Instagram serves as the plattform of choice with it's sqare photo restrictions
and image filters, hence the name "illustagram" = illustration + instagram.

My process differs from picture to picture, but basically I take a photo
with my smartphone while imagining where I could place a character.
Once the photo is taken with basic composition in mind
I then later upload it to my desptop computer and use
Photoshop and Painttool Sai to draw and paint my characters in.
I start sketching in one or multiple characters and build on that.
Sketch -> Basic Colors -> Shading. Constantly working back and forth
through these steps to refine the drawing.
I might cut out foreground objects and paste them in front of the drawing
to give a better illusion of my characters being in the displayed location.
