These days there is so much value placed on having the next best thing. Of fitting in with the latest trends. 

Meanwhile all of the beautiful things we once prized for their personal value, rarity or craftsmanship are either crumbling, filling up landfill or clogging up second-hand shops. 

I explore the inner war of old vs new in my Château de Versailles series. My love of old buildings comes head to head with my love of modern clean and graphic aesthetics. By departing from classic depictions of the estate and using bright oversaturated colours my intention is to turn what's old into what's new.
