"Dawn" is a furniture piece created through a change in mechanism design.

"Dawn" compliments the slow rising light from darkness, created through lowering the lampshade.
A heavy Concrete lamp shade gives the pulley mechanism a real purpose
As the lampshade is raised or lowered, the pulley rotates, inturn rotating the electrical dimmer through a geared cog system.
The rough, broken concrete lampshade casts an undulating shadow around the room.
