One thing making Berlin a fantastic place for Photographers being interested in racked and ruined buildings is the virtually infinite amount of old factory sites and left-behind buildings. Around 100 years ago, the beer producing industry was large and very important in town. Today, most of the premises and halls are fallen apart or in the phase of decay. This series of images shows the " , where malt was processed and prepared for the brewery.
In 1914 the Schultheiss Brewery decided to build a modern malt house. 1996 the production was stopped for good. Wandering through the site, it seems much longer than 15 years last time somebody was working here.
A former German Airforce military site near Segelfliegerdamm, Berlin is another abandoned place, mostly overlooked by the public. The site is huge and offers fascinating locations ... Ongoing project ...
