Ex-Factory specializes in manufacturing and distribute third-party Masterpieces based on the first generation Transformers series. Since this particular character doesn't have an alternative mode, the client wanted a highly detailed figure to compensate for that.
With the original series as reference, the main objective was to capture the emotion of the animated cartoon into the 20 cm figure, always keeping in mind the production constraints. The biggest challenge was to make an appealing product that doesn't change form, to a demanding market of collectors that expect transformations and complex motion.
This Masterpiece collectible figure has nearly 100 parts engineered and from that 3D model all parts were 3D printed and assembled to test the mechanical systems. After the approval, the injection molds were manufactured in order to produce the "test shots" units.
In the end you get this "mean" green, 24cms collectible figure filled with interesting details.
