Furniture
Chandeliers
A major challenge for the Brigada team during the reconstruction of Bruketa&Žinić OM agency’s office was to design light fixtures in the meeting rooms. It all started with an idea to thematically link the chandeliers with a defining characteristic or feature in each room to achieve inspired design and overall unity. As with the rest of the office reconstruction project, Brigada was required to consider a limited budget and ecological approach, while at the same time creating something visually striking and unique. Unable to track down chandeliers that fit the space and budget, the Brigada team decided to design and produce custom-made lamps themselves with minimum cost. In the end, the chandeliers turned out so well that the meeting rooms have been named after them.

Conference room, one of the largest in our office, has lot of visible cooper HVAC pipes. We decided to use that as a reference for the design of the ceiling light fixtures that dominate the room. Almost all the material used for their production were recycled from the leftover pipes.

Neon
The smallest meeting room, now nicknamed “Neon,” is located in the corner of the building with a view of the city lights – in particular, the road and railroad tracks running next to the office building. The lines of light created by passing vehicles provided inspiration for the second chandelier, composed of neon tubes. These neon tubes, together with the outside lights, lend the meeting room a unique atmosphere, especially at dusk.

Satellites
“Satellites,” as it is now called, is a room for special meetings or for teams working on top-secret projects. Spies, secrets, NASA and other clandestine operations provided the initial concept for this room, and then satellites or the satellite dish as an object. Brigada purchased a few satellite dishes and, with a classic spy flick ‘death ray’ form in mind, arranged them to create a retro-futuristic chandelier.
