The aim of my thesis was to investigated alternative methods of automobile advertisement as opposed to traditional media, therefore an interactive installation was set up to promote a company's product; a motorcycle.

 

Advertising must grab the viewer's attention in the increasingly competitive market therefore, the success of an alternative method of advertising is determined by a sound and tailored marketing strategy in order to reach the targeted audience. The motorcycle installation was tested in practice with the use visceral design through a mixture of media. This resulted to be a success as regards to gathering the attention to potential customers. 

 

 

 

 

 

To test whether alternative methods of advertising are more effective than that traditional, both methods were practised in order to gather a more accurate results. The motorcycle installation was set up at the busiest shopping complex in Malta, The Point Tigne on a 4-day period. Traditional posters and flyers were created in order to promote the motorcycle & the company. These were distributed around strategic places around Malta and also in selected stores at the shopping complex. 

 

 

 

 

 

A series of stickers were created and jammed on different levels of the shopping complex. Each and every sticker was stuck in strategic spots around the shopping complex so as to attract as many passers-by as possible.

To further promote the installation I also chose a low-cost method of advertisement were I have combined a series of graffiti leading to the poster featuring the motorcycle and the installation details.
