CALLIGRAPHY AND LETTERING

For so many years, calligraphy and the art of hand lettering has amazed me in so many ways. Calligraphy is the art of forming beautiful symbols by hand and arranging them well. It's a set of skills and techniques for positioning and inscribing words so they show integrity, harmony, some sort of ancestry, rhythm and creative fire. Lettering and calligraphy is everything to do with the formation and use of alphabet letters to communicate meaning, and so it involves typography, sign-writing, graffiti, graphic design and many other disciplines.

Below are sets of letterings I made. I used various media and fonts. I really enjoy the process of thinking how the font should be, placement of letters and additional decorations around it in order to perform the best harmony out of it.
Hearts: Made with Sarasa 0.5 gel pen and felt tip marker on A4 paper. Though, this font is one of the hardest font to write because of it's shape and details, it is still one of my favourite font due to its uniqueness and goth vibe it shows.
Sweet Dreams: I made this with Sakura Gelly Roll gel pen in the color blue. This has a glittery finish and it's the beauty of it. The calligraphy was made on A4 paper with additional stars as decoration.
Days: I made this out of boredom to test the colors of my Zebra Penciltic marker. This was made on A5 paper without sketch or ruler, purely freehand. I like how it turned out because it's really simple.
Who: This is my first every bubble font calligraphy. I actually like how it turned out. I made this with Sarasa 0.5 gel pen and Snowman Board Marker on A5 paper without pencil sketch, freehand.
Practice Sessions: I did my calligraphy and lettering practice on A4 paper with 0.5 mechanical pencil and black marker. This practice paper allows me to explore different fonts and lettering yet it helps me find which style suites me the most and which one I really like.
