Born in raised in the Salinas Valley, Artemus Wall grew up operating a photography studio with his strict father. Forced to follow in his footsteps, Artemus runs away from home at fourteen in hopes to emancipate himself from becoming his legacy, and sets to inaugurate his own.

With his camera he travels down the west coast and befriends the likes of Lucky Daniels, Dean Marquis, and Cassius & Daisy Turner; Artist in their own right, as well as carjackers. With them he discovers photography as art and acquires a taste for heroine.

 

When he finds himself back home and spends the rest of his teens and early 20s struggling with addiction, while at the same time crafting himself as an artist. 
Because of his struggles he becomes estranged from Daisy & Lucky. Hates them for feeling corrupt but wants to be with them all the more.
Years pass and he makes a move to NYC with Winny, anticipating seeing Daisy Turner once again.

Artemus has a way of manipulating people towards his favor. Painfully aware of this, he struggles with coming to terms with his cold, brooding, and sometimes insidious nature, throughout his life, not knowing how to change, or how to embrace all the bad and good within him.
