Wooden chair made of ash wood using wood carving technique and different types of joins.
* Steam bending is a woodworking technique where wood is exposed to steam to make it pliable. Heat and moisture from steam can soften wood fibres enough so they can be bent and stretched, and when cooled down they will hold their new shape. In CHAIR 01 project steam box technique was used to steam the wood at firs, and then every leg part was bended on a form.
Then the seat of a chair was created by glueing grinned wood peaces together. And three separately bended parts of a stool were connected and glued to the seat.
