DATA GRIT
Taking on the idea of "repurposed design", I wanted to expand this concept into the digital realm.
Exploring different methods to create glitch motions and to juxtapose recycled materials within a digital space.
Greatly inspired by Chris Ashworth's archive of work, I couldn't resist this opportunity
to create my take on Chris' Swiss Grit and David Carson's RAYGUN-esque visual language.

The project began with me browsing through old scraps and cutouts of texts/typography that I've collected over the past year.
By patiently tearing out fragments of these scraps using various forms of adhesive tape, the next step
was to then rely on my visual intuition to discover any patterns or alignments that may evoke any emotional response
This project also serves as a tribute to electronic composer/visual artist Ryoji Ikeda
His mesmerizing collection of compositions and raw sonic tones helped immensely
in inspiring my process of translating these ideas into visual manifestations.
