Some considerations while designing this experience were ease of use, and who would be using the smart fridge. Shopping list and snacks lists are accessible from the bottom of the screen, as these are more likely to be used by younger users. The fridge lock, on the other hand, would need to be out of reach of children. Recipes are near the top, as the user will want these near to eye level to quickly read while cooking. Some other features include a listing of what is in the fridge. Some in this challenge chose to list when these items are expiring, but at least for now, I think the technology and time required to enter those expiration dates upon putting items into the fridge would cause frustration for the user. A favorite recipe feature helps users save recipes that they want to try or have found to be particularly successful (or popular with the kids!).
