Hartriegel Verlag
"Stasiratte" is the first book in the small publisher company called Hartriegel Verlag.
The main theme of this company is the time of the divded germany, from the view of German Democratic Republic (GDR) and it`s people.
I started out in the basics: giving the company an appearence wich lead to a small Coporate Identity.
In a short period of time I was designing the business cards, brochures, posters and the cover of this book in order to set up the company.
The book itself is the autobiographic story of a young woman growing up in this special system.
She was discovering the world, that she grew up in, through out her work in a international Hotel in the middle of east Berlin. The contradictory events that ocuured, led her to a grown up, intelligent woman in a strange period of time.
