Gjirafa is Balkans fastest growing internet startup.
As their video streaming service took a fast path upwards, they started building a video production house as well.
For this new service, they needed a visual identity, and decided to go for an external team in order to bring a bit of freshness to their new service.
Gjirafa had a clear vision in mind. Their studio needed to be robust, show high production quality and be known as good of a content creator as Netflix is today.
We decided to go with a concept that would surprise Gjirafa. It was supposed to be simple, and straightforward. So we went with a rectangle.
Not any rectangle though. However simple it looks, GjirafaStudios produces video. And today, video is shown in a 16:9 ratio. So we went for the obvious: the 16:9 screen outline, and nothing else.
On the other hand, the identity was developed out of several icons which took the same style as the rectangle, but portrayed the whole production capabilities of GjirafaStudios, from audio to video to post-production.
These were all compiled in a simple, few second short ident which is now shown before every video produced by the studio.
