Screen to Paper
Putting digital creations in hand
A practice in creating layered pieces using vectors and a cricut to create 3 dimensional art. I know I’ve said this before, but the thrill of taking something from my screen to my hands is always super fulfilling. An interesting side-note on this project is that I’ve found it extra difficult to create color palettes from a limited paper supply. It’s forced me to explore palettes I wouldn’t normally pair (mostly because they’re not my usual aesthetic) to create color-harmonized pieces. Which is your favorite so far? What should I do next? I’m itching to create a space piece.
I'm really excited to explore different ways I can work this piece with different scenes within the lenses.
This one was a fun one that was completely me. I was excited to see it sell quickly to someone who wanted to gift it to their daughter who is interested in Marine Biology.
My first one...the whole reason I wanted to even TRY paper cutting. This one is from my first Pantone poster and I just HAD to see it in dimensions!
