Problems :
Cane, being a natural product, has inconsistant thickness. A length of cane is not the same thickness throughout, being narrow at some points and thick at others.This presented a major problem as the metal joint inserts we had designed had a fixed diameter. This made the structure unpredictable and unstable.
Though this was one of the selected concepts, it was decided to keep it on hold and explore other possibilities on different themes.
