Without the use of imagery and color, this Taking a Stand poster was designed to promote a documentary about the Civil Rights Movement. The main purpose is to persuade the younger generation to watch this informative documentary in order to learn about the difficult times African American citizens had to suffer through while even comparing it to today's society. Bold typefaces and the use of strong contrast were used in order to emphasize the strength these citizens had to fight for their right to be who they really are without judgment and limitations.
