Between 1899 and 1910, French artist Jean-Marc Côté created a set of postcards predicting what life
would be like in Paris in the year 2000.
My idea was to transcribe Côté’s fantastical inventions into a CG sequence, while maintaining the
illustrative style of the post cards. The animation was designed for viewing in a museum context as part
of an exhibition exploring the history of speculative invention and technology.
