We were tasked with creating a cohesive set of DVD's for the Criterion Collection. Inspired by another class that I was taking centered around crime and noir fiction and film, I chose four dark and mysterious books. Another crossover that I incorporated was the use of negative images similar to those I was working with in my photography class. The shadows in the images are replaced with grey highlights, and the inky black backgrounds conceal imagined evil threats.

Tying everything together, I decided to call the series "Hit List" as the four books have all been hits, and a hit list is exactly the sort of thing you would expect to stumble across in their pages.
