A visual revamp of Le Nouveau Monde's
yearly cultural programs' visual identity
and applications with a conceptual twist.
The Client
Le Nouveau Monde is a multi-cultural space located in Freiburg, Switzerland.
They were searching for ways to improve their programs' visual identity and compete with local cultural spaces in the area of Freiburg specifically or Switzerland generally. Their programs are very rich with various acts: live concerts, raves, conferences, theatre, standup comedy, workshops, exhibitions, etc... They needed a way to emphasize the content while also presenting it in an attractive yet authentic way.

Our Work
We tackled this project with deep research about Le Nouveau Monde's history and proposed several concepts that would govern the new visual identity for the year 2019-2020. The chosen concept would highlight 5 key figures that left a trace at Le Nouveau Monde (1 person for every bi-monthly program) -hence the name "An Ode to the Figures"- and the identity of each program would be inspired by the person itself. The overall style is highly typographic accented with geometric compositions and photographic plays.
