Serene Leaf: Perfume Identity

This project is an examination of a high-end perfume brand that focuses on sustainability, quality product, and physical relief. Creating a company that is environmentally aware and practices high levels of sustainability in their product is becoming a necessity, younger generations are beginning to choose brands that use sustainable products over those that do not.
I began researching more ecologically friendly packaging materials and found some interesting evidence pointing towards hemp as a resource for paper/cardboard. The results were incredible, hemp paper is recyclable up to eight times, where tree-paper is only recyclable up to 3 times. Hemp as agriculture is much more sustainable than that of the tree-paper industry, requiring less water, easy organic growing and the prevention of rainforest deforestation. To add another brand reinforcement, I thought it would be interesting to combine this respect for sustainable practices with the use of topical CBD as an active ingredient. CBD is a naturally calming ingredient used topically or ingested. CBD is derived from the hemp plant as well as the packaging materials of the product, using the whole plant.
The company name "Serene Leaf" emphasizes the use of the hemp plant from packaging components to the product itself, and the calming effect of the active ingredient, CBD. The target market is young female adults, ages 25-33, post higher education and entering their career.
