Client came to us (project done with Chris Bray at Speed Virtual Product Design) with an initial concept for a container to protect expensive dental retainers and mouth guards. We essentially started from scratch by going back to preliminary ideation sketches and renderings. Once one concept was selected by client, we moved into developing the full CAD model in Solidworks. Also provided client with photo-realistic renderings to be used in promotional materials while injection-mold tooling was being fabricated. The end result was a fully customizable container that took advantage of color and customized stickers to attract young adults and kids to buy the product and would better protect their dental retainers and mouth guards.
