Branding identity for the small contemporary art space, Kunsthal 6100. Kunsthal 6100 hosts concerts, exhibitions, events, workshops etc.

People to whom art is unfamiliar, tend to be prejudiced towards it. Art is only for connoisseurs, art spaces belong to bigger cities, art is just a painting on a wall, and the list goes on. We took advantage of these prejudices and used
them to communicate what Kunsthal 6100 is about. By crossing out parts of the common prejudices, and replacing
them with a handwritten text, we promote the exhibitions as well as Kunsthal 6100’s positioning. The handwritten
texts explain what art can also be. For instance, “art is sausage sewing”, as part of one of the exhibitions is a big patchwork sausage.

For the design, we were inspired by Post-its. They are a symbol of creativity, everybody knows them, and they go
hand in hand with swift handwriting, which is the key element in our design.

The identity is developed during the lockdown in collaboration with 3 fellow students via Skype. It consists of posters, stickers, sign, wayfinding, website and an example of how to use the design on SoMe.
