Stepping out of my usual forms of expression, I ventured into furniture, specifically a cocktail cabinet.
“Boreku” was born out of my love for whisky. Inspired by African Art, Ndebele design, and fashion. The marriage of wood, metal and leather. The choice of colour and the addition of leather is an homage to the combination of a beautiful blue suit, accentuated with a pink tie, and finished off with brown leather shoe.
This handmade, handcrafted one-off piece is a prototype; hopefully the first of many I’ll be producing.
