Learning to Make GIFs

I watched one of Lisa Bardot's videos about animating gifs in Procreate and was instantly hooked. Clearly I have a long way to go as an animator, but learning the process is a lot more fun than I expected.

Here's my first baby step: a party announcement wiggle gif:
Then I tried to make something more soothing: a morning cocoa gif with swirling marshmallows.
Then I drew a flickering candle. While it doesn't look all that complicated, the glow that grows and fades in the background is a whole other layer of animation that had to be synced to the flame, something I didn't really think about until I was in the middle of it. It also made the file huge (for a gif), so I had to cut the resolution, hence those rings of distortion you see. I'll definitely be avoiding gradients from here on out!
Finally I drew this little family of sea turtles gliding through dark waters. At 47 frames, it's my longest gif so far!
Thanks for watching!
