G U H A P E N T H O U S E
A penthouse re-modelling project looking to go away from the typologies of the 'apartment' to one of a dynamic and playful home. With a low budget, the focus was on integrating the common spaces of the house through activity, intriguing visual connections, social spaces. This all culminated in the development of a Steel Space Frame which ran through the common spaces of the house, leading, dividing and restructuring the experience of the home. This becomes, the screen, the bookshelf, the roof, the sofa , the study, the play area and the display. It brings everyone out of the bedrooms into these stitched hybrid private / public spaces.
